Terra Lovette is a gentle being with a heart of gold. She lives in a humble room atop La Cathedrale de la Vie, where she studies and works with patients in need of medical attention. Her affinity for healing-type magic is extreme, even after relatively few years of training compared to others, and she is often the go-to when her teacher is not around.

When she isn’t working at the hospital, Terra can often be found around Casanta’s Respite giving food to those who need it, or spending time at orphanages across the city.

Laska Ortorrenne is a mercenary who is constantly trying to stay afloat. Though she has her girlfriend, Zareth, and her loyal esspot, Edgar, around to keep her on her feet, Laska’s woes over her memory gap and her unique physical condition tend to cause her extreme amounts of stress and anxiety.

Laska is alarmingly proficient with her tower shield and halberd when she is capable of breaking through an anxious episode, and prefers to wear a small amount of her suit of armor at almost all times to help conceal her secret.

Zareth is a mercenary from the Northern nation of Iovakia. When her giant stature doesn’t set her apart from the citizens of Casanta’s Respite, her thick accent and hearty laugh often reveal her presence. She is constantly trying to find work to help keep herself and her girlfriend, Laska, out of poverty, and at her size, she’s often quite the candidate for various tasks around town.

When faced with trouble, Zareth’s first instinct is often to fight, be that with her fists, her trusty sword and shield, or whatever other weapons are available to her.

Nick Noble is a flamboyant blacksmith with a unique sense of self and a penchant for flirting. He is renown across the lands for his blacksmithing skill, but he has gained a reputation as a lover more recently around his home city of Casanta’s Respite. He especially always tries to make time for his boyfriend whenever he’s in town.

The master blacksmith who trained Nick mysteriously vanished a few years ago, leaving his shop to his wife, who lets Nick maintain and use the shop, as well as continue to live in the spare room where he stayed as an apprentice.

Edgar is Laska’s loyal animal companion–or as loyal as this grumpy creature can be.

An esspot (pronunciation up for debate, plural: esspot) is an ungulate with split hooves, long fur, curly horns, and a pair of largely vestigial wings. Researchers believe that these wings once allowed esspot to glide across canyons, but no living person has ever seen it happen.
